Why did iaelyon School of Management develop the CforCSR© platform?

CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), has become a key aspect of management and administration. For businesses, it is now essential to recruit responsible managers capable of meeting the challenges of global performance: economic, social and environmental.

With its long-standing culture as a socially open and responsible organization, aware of its impact on its ecosystem, iaelyon has made CSR a permanent and sustainable commitment. Whatever their sector of activity or profession, managers graduating from iaelyon should be able to have a positive impact on the ecosystem with actions that contribute to the transformation of organizations, reconciling economic and social performance, the fulfillment of internal stakeholders and the satisfaction of partners.

The CforCSR© platform complements existing schemes aimed at opening up students to responsible approaches: associative and entrepreneurial commitments, PRME and Global Compact commitments, specific and cross-disciplinary courses linked to CSR.
Regarding the CforCSR© platform, what are iaelyon School of Management expectations its students?
iaelyon’s expectations have been defined with the program directors. The training, validated by a mark obtained at the end of module 13, and the certification are compulsory for all iaelyon Master students. To graduate, students must have completed both parts of the CforCSR© platform: the TRAINING part and the CERTIFICATION part (*).
- The « Training » part offers training modules in the fundamentals of CSR: articles, videos, books and roleplays. The training certificate is generated once the student has achieved the minimum required, that is to say, a minimum of one resource for each of the 13 modules. When the minimum is reached for each module, a red cartridge appears on the top left of the dashboard. This red cartridge is marked "export dashboard to PDF". On clicking this, the student can generate its dashboard, save it and/or print it. This proof of completion of the training part is automatically submitted to their registrar's office;
- The « Certification » part is a test that offers a score certifying the level of adoption by the students of the key notions of CSR. It is automatically generated at the end of the maximum time allowed for the test (25 minutes). This certificate has an authentication key. Students have the opportunity to communicate their results in the certificate and their authentication key to any company in which CSR concepts are important. This certificate is automatically submitted to the registrar's office . It can be saved and printed. It is a document that validates an additional skill, so it is worthwhile keeping.
* The implementation of the platform will be made later for the offshore Masters and the cooperative Bachelor’s.
How do I obtain passwords to access the CforCSR© platform?
At the beginning of the academic year, students are automatically enrolled in the platform. They receive an automatic e-mail from the CforCSR© platform (contact@cforcsr.com) at their University e-mail address. This e-mail contains the link to access the platform, as well as instructions for entering the platform. To connect two items are required:
- Username : it corresponds to the University 's e-mail address for each student.
- Password : it must be generated by each student during their first connection. For this, the student must click on "Forgotten Password" on the homepage and enter their University e-mail address in the text field. An e-mail will be automatically sent to this address with a link valid for 24 hours to create or reset a password.
For security reasons, an encryption system is imposed on users:
- 4-character encryption: upper case, lower case, digit and special characters
- password at least 10 characters long
What if the CforCSR© platform does not recognise the student's e-mail address?
1. Verify the accuracy of the entry:
- The e-mail address stored in the platform to connect (to fill in the "username") must end with @univ-lyon3.fr. No other address will be accepted (@gmail.com, for example).
- If the student does a copy and paste, check that there are no residual spaces at the end of the e-mail. The ID corresponds exactly with the student's University e-mail address. No upper case is allowed.
2. Students that are not registered:
It is possible that the student is not registered on the platform. The first wave of registrations is made at the beginning of academic year. A second wave of registration is carried out some weeks later, to "recover" students whose administrative enrolment at iaelyon took place later. In case the student's e-mail address is not recognised, please contact the technical support at contact@cforcsr.com: indicating your name, surname, University e-mail address and your curriculum (e.g. Master 1 Marketing & Sales or Master 2 Management of Human Resources- coop’ program , etc.).
What if you forget your password?

You can carry out a forgotten password recovery procedure.
To do this on the login page (iaelyon.cforcsr.com/user), click on "forgotten password" and follow the instructions given on the following page: "enter the Universitye-mail address". You will receive an e-mail to this address with a link to click to change your password. After saving your new password, you can log in on the login page. Warning! The password recovery link is valid for 24 hours.
What if you can’t print your certificate of completion of TRAINING?

This is certainly due to the fact that you have not yet achieved the minimum required for each of the 13 modules. For each of the 13 modules, you must have chosen two resources and answered all the questions in the questionnaire for this resource. If a student fails to answer one of the set of questions the certificate of completion of training is not generated.
Check inside of each of the 13 modules that you have answered all the questions corresponding to the resource you have selected. When this is the case, you will see a red cartridge appear in the top left of the dashboard. This red cartridge is marked "export dashboard to PDF". Clicking on it enables you to generate your dashboard, save it or print it. This is proof of completion of the training part.
What is the test of the CERTIFICATION?

Certification is a timed test of a maximum duration of 25 minutes. It assesses the level of awareness, adoption and implementation of skills related to CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). A series of 50 questions is proposed, based on a random draw from a bank of broader issues.
The questions focus on four themes: there are general questions about CSR, questions relating to the economic pillar of CSR, issues related to the social pillar of CSR and issues related to the environmental pillar of CSR.
Two types of questions are proposed. There are multiple choice type questions (proposed at the beginning of the test): these questions measure your level of knowledge of concepts related to CSR. They relate to the French national and international environment. There are also role-play work situations where you have to make a decision that respects the principles of the CSR (found at the end of the test).
For each of the questions asked in the certification test, there are three possible answers and an "I do not know" answer. A good answer is worth 2 points; a wrong answer or reply "I do not know" is worth 0 points.
After the test, a score out of 100 is returned to the candidate, who can be located on 4 levels: beginner (0 to 24 points), intermediate (25 to 49 points), advanced (50 to 74 points) or expert (from 75 to 100 points). A CforCSR© certificate can be printed and saved by each student. This is an official document from iaelyon and Socrates. This document has an authentication key.
Students have the opportunity to communicate their results in the certificate and their authentication key to any company in which CSR concepts are important. It is a document that validates an additional skill, so it is worthwhile keeping.
Is it possible to start CERTIFICATION, to stop and resume it later?

No, the certification is a test.
Once started, a countdown starts. Students have 25 minutes to answer the test questions. This is why we recommend that students take the test in the best conditions: be alone, quiet, with a good internet connection for 25 minutes. Read the instructions before starting the test.
What to do with the two certificates of completion of the platform (the TRAINING certificate and CERTIFICATION certificate)?

The grades and score you obtained will be directly transmitted to your registrar’s office.
What to do in case of loss of the TRAINING and CERTIFICATION certificates?

You can return to the platform and re-print and/or save your certificate (in Dashboard).
What is the deadline for completion of TRAINING and CERTIFICATION?
You will need to finalize your training meaning the 13 modules, so that you may take the certification:
- For students enrolled in Master 1: you may choose to do your training and take your certification either in semester 1 (september-january) or in semester 2 (january-april).
- For students enrolled in Master 2 : you must do your training and take your certification in semester 1 (september-january)
To comply with the dates when your registrar’s must have received your CforCSR© training and certification results and score, and to optimise work on the CforCSR© platform, it is recommended that students begin their TRAINING early in the year and work regularly on the platform throughout the academic year.
Can I complete certification several times to improve my score?

You can take the certification only once throughout the course of your Master’s program, either in Master 1 or in Master 2.
